We wanted to portray the first Christmas in Bethlehem from the perspective of a regular person in Bethlehem, perhaps a resident, or someone staying at an Inn in Bethlehem for the census. The muted star, clouds, and small, far-off stable portray the earthly smallness of an event of heavenly magnitude.
